New Book by Ganesh N. Rajan
THROUGH A STORY
“God Flipped Me Off” is a work of fiction, a chronicle inspired by the events happening in the lives of many persons diagnosed with schizophrenia… A good mix of pathos and humor makes this book easy reading, even for people not familiar with the disorder and the disability it produces.”
Padma Bhushan, Dr. Sarada Menon,
Founder: Schizophrenia Research Foundation – SCARF
Schizophrenia affected Ganesh in his late teens. He went through the entire symptomatic spectrum of the imbalances, gaining insights until it culminated in near-total remission.
In his first book, “I, Me and Us” (Westland 2015), he had shared the ideas that helped him function socially. This new fictional work, is a story of a traditionally brought-up Indian individual, providing a peek from the inside into the condition’s complexities.
Recovering patients will understand they are not alone, and caregivers can learn the triggers behind the behaviour of the afflicted. In addition, mental health professionals might be helped in customizing treatment, while curious book-lovers should find it entertaining.
Ganesh has invited his readers to explore and discover what wellness is for each of us.
